Art Inside Me – A Children’s Online Drawing Journey
“Art Inside Me” was a joyful and expressive online creative event designed for children to explore their emotions, stories, and imagination through art. Over two days, children across India logged in from their homes and joined a colourful, laughter-filled virtual space where they could draw, dream, and connect with others.
The goal was simple: give children a safe and nurturing environment where they could create without pressure, express themselves freely, and feel proud of their own unique creations. The sessions were thoughtfully structured to balance step-by-step drawing activities with imaginative freedom. Children were invited to draw based on meaningful prompts such as “Draw Your Mood,” “If I Were a Superhero,” and “My Dream Garden.”
Rather than focusing on perfection or technique, the emphasis was placed on joy, story, and the emotional meaning behind their art. Facilitators guided them gently, helping them see art as a powerful way to communicate and connect. Children were also encouraged to share their work with the group — a moment that not only built their confidence but also created bonds with other young artists.
Parents appreciated the event as a screen-time activity that was both creative and calm. Many expressed that their children were more relaxed and excited after the sessions, with some continuing to draw long after the event ended. Every participant received a digital Certificate of Participation, and their artworks were showcased in a private online gallery (with parent permission).
The impact of “Art Inside Me” went beyond drawing — it planted seeds of self-worth, creativity, and courage in every child. For many, it was their first experience of showing their art to others. For others, it was a return to creativity after a long break. And for all, it was a gentle reminder that art lives inside us — waiting to be expressed.
